God in the Court of Human Experience

Living with Job

Come now O High and Lofty One

I will speak of justice and life under your sun

I will hold you culpable for what you have done

I will even charge you if you will not silence me with your power

All I have left is my cry for a world where justice is done

Out of the goodness you have given me I will challenge your right to judge

My fall was not sin but your pleasure

Testing me to see if I am more than dust and ashes

Hear then the voice of a soul that cannot hide

Sit with me for awhile in your world

Sit beside me as an equal

Now I await for you O lowly man to speak for me
